Join us as we celebrate the official Grand Opening of Creekside, Lincoln College’s Outdoor Center for Environmental Education on Saturday, September 13. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m., followed by tours and demonstrations.

The Creekside Center is a community resource for hands-on environmental science education for students of all ages. It features a teaching pavilion, native species greenhouse, insectarium, restored tall grass prairie, water and butterfly gardens, solar and wind energy, bioswales and a demonstration pond, and nature trails through the forest to Sugar Creek. The facility has free parking, picnic areas, toilet facilities, and is handicap accessible.

Directions:  From I-55, take Exit 133 toward Lincoln. Turn left onto North Lincoln Parkway and travel 3 miles. Turn right on 1250th Ave (Nicholson Rd) and travel 3.1 miles (passing over I-55, past the Epperson subdivision, and over Kickapoo Creek). Turn left on 2000th St (the second left after Kickapoo Creek) and travel about half a mile. Turn right onto the gravel road marked Small-Edwards Trace that leads to Creekside.
